My Food Addiction
Mar 25, 2026
I Love Research and Learning!
But my real learning began in my 30s — when life got hard. During my pregnancy with Halle and losing my mom to cancer, I started using food for comfort. My anxiety and depression made food feel like a safe friend… one that was always there — especially in the form of a row of double-stuff Oreos. 🍪
Since then, food has taken up a lot of space in my mind. My brain never seems to stop thinking about it:
What did I eat? What will I eat next? When can I eat again? What will satisfy my sweet tooth? Do I have something salty for after that?
It’s constant noise — a mental load that so often gives in to cravings.
