My Story...
I’ve spent my life helping people learn, grow, and believe in themselves.
For over 25 years, I’ve been an educator. Not just teaching information, but creating environments where people feel supported, capable, and empowered. I’ve seen firsthand what happens when people are given the right structure, encouragement, and accountability. They don’t just change their habits. They change how they see themselves.
My passion for building supportive communities began long before my career. I grew up in a small town, where people showed up for each other. You knew your neighbors. You helped when someone was struggling. You celebrated when someone succeeded. That sense of connection shaped how I approach everything I do today.
Calorie Karma was built on that same foundation.
A Scientist at Heart, and a Lifelong Learner
I have always been fascinated by the human body — how it adapts, how it protects us, and how incredibly capable it is when we understand it.
My academic background includes undergrad degrees in biology and kinesiology, along with three master’s degrees in education, biology, and chemistry. I have taught human anatomy and physiology for over twenty years at the college level. But more importantly, I’ve remained a lifelong learner. I continue to study the science of metabolism, behavior change, and long-term weight regulation because I believe people deserve guidance grounded in truth, not trends.
Weight loss is often presented as a matter of willpower. Science tells a different story.
Our behaviors, environment, awareness, and consistency shape outcomes far more than motivation alone.
Understanding that changes everything.
Why I Created Calorie Karma
Like many women, I experienced firsthand how weight can slowly shift over time — not from a lack of knowledge, but from the realities of life. Responsibilities increase. Stress accumulates. Priorities shift. And without structure, it becomes easy to drift out of alignment.
What I discovered is that lasting change doesn’t come from intensity. It comes from awareness, structure, and support.
Calorie Karma was created to provide exactly that.
Not a diet. Not a short-term reset. But a framework built on the same behavioral principles used by individuals who successfully maintain weight loss long-term.
This program teaches skills — how to monitor, how to adjust, how to realign — without shame or extremes.
Because true weight regulation isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about knowing how to return to alignment, again and again.
